Keeping Your Patience When Nothing Is Working Out

Being patient is the assumption that you are waiting for something better to come along. However, nothing better will come along under this premise because you are waiting for something you do not yet have. Having to be patient is an indication that you are not trusting the universe to come through with what you desire. When you are "waiting" for something better you create an unnecessary passage of time in which you force upon your existence the need to be patient. This lack of trust or faith will keep mirroring back to you your current reality and you will keep ‘you’ in waiting or feeling impatient.

So then the only way to let go of the need to be patient is to let go of the resistance toward what you feel you are lacking or wanting. It is about surrendering where you are and who you are in this moment. It's knowing what you truly want while accepting and taking care of your current state in life no matter what it is. Now don’t worry, by accepting “what is” in your reality, the universe will not see what you don't want and give you more of it. The universe will see your contentment and appreciation for what you do have and will give you more things that resemble that feeling of appreciation. You may know this as the Law of Attraction. God already knows your dreams and desires and has them all lined up for you. You now have to focus on what you want rather than what is lacking in order to open the door to all that Source has for you.

Look at it this way, if you don't appreciate what you do have, chances are you’re probably not taking good care of it either. So why would God or Source give you more if you don’t appreciate and take care of what you do have? Now that you realize this, don't beat yourself up about it because you didn't know that's how it all worked. But now you do. You now have knowledge and empowerment to change your perspective and attract what you want. It takes some practice.

Here is an example; let's say you don't have enough money to meet your expenses each month. So you give up paying some of your bills. In fact, you even stop opening some of them. You figure why bother if you don't have enough money to cover them anyways. This is a form of lack. The way you think and feel about things is the way it will keep coming back to you.

Now let’s take a different approach and say you pay the bills that you can afford or that take top priority and then contact your other creditors to make a payment arrangement. You pay close attention to your financial affairs and do your best. You take on extra hours at work if you can. If you don't have a job you do your best to find one and so on. In other words, you look after what you do have even if it’s very little or next to nothing. You are grateful regardless. Even if someone else played a part in your perceived difficulty, you cannot control them. You can only control yourself and your actions. At the end of the day it's not about what they did. It's about how you react to them. It's about your faith in Spirit and your own abilities to get you where you want to go in life. No one cares more about that than you. So what do you want? How would it feel if you had it? Focus on that feeling, take care of what you’ve got, and the rest will take care of itself.

When you find yourself struggling and worrying, stop, regroup, ask Spirit, God or the Universe for help and reconnect. This is an ongoing process for everyone so do not despair when you fall off the wagon. Each time you do you will find that you stay on the wagon longer and longer. Remember, don't compare yourself with anyone because your journey and purpose is very unique to you. So hang in there my dear and know that all the while you are becoming the best version of you!
